Richard Lindsay graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002. He then proudly served as a dentist in the British Army. After his stint in the forces, Richard joined The Gentle Touch in 2017. He is a compassionate dentist and this is what helps him to put patients at ease, even in a dentist’s chair. Through this, he has helped build a friendly and caring environment which defines our practice.
Richard is fully committed to further training and education. He has completed multiple postgraduate qualifications including Diplomat Status in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons (England). Richard was also an examiner for the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons postgraduate exams. Richard continually undertakes postgraduate education and frequently attends advanced courses. All of this training means that he can deliver optimal care for his patients.
Richard Lindsay has a special interest in dental aesthetics and cosmetic dentistry. This includes smile designs, composite resin restorations and minimally invasive ceramic restorations. He recently completed a postgraduate certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. This was under close tutelage of Dr Chris Orr, one of the UK’s top Aesthetic Dentists and a former President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has also undertaken the highly prestigious ‘Invisalign Aesthetic Excellence Programme – Master Class’. All of which puts Richard in an ideal position to help create the smile that many patients desire.
As a keen sportsman, Richard has completed the ‘National 3 Peaks Walking Challenge’ and cycled Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Through this, he has helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity. Richard also enjoys golfing, albeit badly!
Despite all his accomplishments though, Richard believes his greatest achievement is having three beautiful daughters of whom he is infinitely proud.
